Raymond Fortunato Spano, Principal of Spano Architects. Raymond Fortunato Spano received a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Arizona in 1965. Upon graduation Mr Spano was Project Designer between 1965 and 1972 at the architectural and planning firm of William L. Pereira at the Corona Del Mar offices. Mr. Spano was a founding Principal of Architectural/Planning Associates in the City of Garden Grove between 1972 and 1977. In 1978, Mr. Spano was a founding Principal of the Arroyo Group in Pasadena until founding Spano Architects in 2002 to the present. While with each firm Mr. Spano was responsible for the design of numerous architectural and planning projects which included medical, educational, research facilities, hospitality, office and commercial buildings and developments, parking structures, entertainment and dining facilities. multi and single family residential projects, historic restoration, master planning and urban restoration projects. Mr. Spano has also served as a guest Architectural and Planning instructor for a Design and Planning Studio at the University of Arizona.

Mr. Spano has served as a member of the American Society of Engineers & Architects Board of Directors since 1984.
